Today was really not an exciting day. We spent it in the saddles of our bikes so we are now pretty tired.
We couldn’t find a suitable site to camp as everything around the road is soaked with water from recent floods so we are again at an official camp – this time at Larrimah. Larrimah is a very small town but it has at least three camps as far as we could see. One of them seemed deserted even by personnel for what seems already quite some time though. The second one had a few people with caravans mostly and we are camped at the camping ground that belongs to the people running the local fuel station. We are the only people here. The camp has a pool (little slippery – might need some cleaning) that we welcomed very much, showers, laundry and bar with a pool. We paid only 4 dollars per person per night.
Even the otherwise perfect road was damaged by the floods at three short stretches along our today’s route. Any such problem on the road is superbly marked though so it posed no problem or danger. All it did was that it slowed us down negligibly.
