All this time we spent in Darwin arranging mostly my things to get me and my bike out of Australia. Tanja flew home on Sunday early morning and I had to postpone my flight again. Thanks to my new friend Gareth I discovered that I have to have my Carnet stamped for export by the customs here in Australia and because I packed my Carnet together with my crated bike I had to extract it first from the port and arrange customs to come and check it on Monday when I was supposed to fly to Malaysia.

With Gareth we met thanks to my posting on Horizons Unlimited where I was looking for companions and thanks to Gareth's reply to my posting. Gareth is riding to England. Unfortunately he is taking it little straighter than me so we can’t share the road together for too long. At least now with my flight postponed we are flying on the same airplane.

We will probably hook up again in Malaysia while I will be waiting for my bike to arrive, which will be quite a while after I missed the originally planned boat to ship my bike. The next one departs Darwin 11 days after I’m flying… L Gareth is flying his BMW 1150 so he will have it straight away.
