Melaka and Gareth joining me |
Gareth arrived today evening so we went to do some exploring of Melaka that I postponed before to do it together with him. We did the same during the day the following day. The conclusion is that Melaka is a pretty town with a very lovely centre featuring many old buildings. The biggest building is a re-creation of a big 15th century palace that has been built without the use of a single nail.
I later also ventured into local Chinatown. It is a very lively street with lots of different foods and other articles and with quite a few Karaoke restaurants or pure “synchronized dancing” halls which I witnessed with great interest. It seems like the Chinese know how to entertain themselves.
There is a few Internet gaming lounges around the area where all the guesthouses are so I had no problem getting connected. The price is usually 3 Ringgit per hour.
Instead of trying to describe Melaka I will just add some pictures this time. You can see some more in my album.

Note(s):
 I had the Internet for free sometimes as Gareth discovered that they use unsecured wireless network just two doors left from our guesthouse in a computer retail shop, so I was going to sit just across the street when I just needed to send and receive e-mils or do some less time consuming stuff. Having wireless connection option on your notebook is really quite handy… ;)
